a weekend in Berlin - city guide

I could never decide which German city is my favorite one. Münster will always feel like home, Hamburg and Cologne are beautiful as well, but the most vibrant and coolest one is definitely Berlin. I‘ve been there a couple of times already, so this time Nele and I decided to leave out the typical tourist spots and spend the weekend exploring the most instagrammable food places and coolest neighborhoods. I tried to remember where we went each days and made up a collection of our favorite spots. So have fun with this hipster guide go Berlin.

Food and Drink:

I don’t think you can find such a big diversity of different food places in any other German city. We checked out lots of cute cafés and these were our favorite ones:

located in Kreuzberg // be there at least ten minutes before they are opening at ten to get a table and be prepared for lots of Instagram girls climbing on chairs to get the perfect shot

located on top of a shopping centre in Neuköln, best summer rooftop bar, lots of alternative festivals & live music

Superfood & Organic Liquids

located in Mitte // make sure to try the mango smoothie bowl - it's amazing and the marble tables are prefect for some pretty flatlay shots

Beets & Roots

located in Mitte, really healthy and yummy food bowls for dinner or lunch, seasonal changing options and everything is super fresh

more places:

  • House of small Wonder - most instagrammable staircase in Berlin

  • Factory Girl - cute interior and amazing avocado toast

  • Betty n' Caty - the bowls look fantastic

  • You can't leave Berlin without having at least one (Veggie) Döner
